SCORE NYC

SCORE NYC is the local chapter of SCORE, a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Association. We assist entrepreneurs by providing FREE one-on-one confidential business counseling. Our 70 volunteers mentor more than 10,000 people annually. We also hold over 110 practical, skill-focused seminars, workshops and forums annually on business-related topics.

SCORENYC’s headquarters are in lower Manhattan (26 Federal Plaza); there are four other counseling branch locations: in midtown Manhattan (SIBL); Grand Army Plaza (Brooklyn Central LIbrary) and Boro Hall in Brooklyn; and Grand Concourse in the Bronx. Workshops are held at these locations, or at libraries, colleges, offices and other venues throughout NYC.

HOW THE FREE BUSINESS MENTORING PROGRAM WORKS

SCORENYC volunteers all have 10+ years experience running businesses as senior executives or founder/owners, and have additional expertise in finance, marketing/sales, operations, human resources, law, and/or use of technology.

Mentoring sessions last for approximately one hour. Our mentors help you capitalize on your opportunities. We may occasionally bring in other counselors with special expertise as necessary. You may work with more than one mentor at a time, and also request a different counselor for a better fit.
